The workshop was established in January 2021 in Yilan, a quiet coastal city where time seems to move at its own pace. The location was chosen deliberately — away from the pressure and noise of larger cities, in a place where thoughtful work could flourish.
The founder spent twelve years working in high-volume service centers before recognizing that speed and efficiency, while valuable in many contexts, often come at the expense of understanding. Watches with complex histories or delicate conditions were passed through standardized procedures that didn't account for their individual needs. There had to be a different approach.
Quietwork was created as an alternative — a workshop where time is given rather than counted, where each watch receives the attention its condition truly requires, and where owners feel heard rather than processed. The name reflects the atmosphere: focused, careful work conducted without haste or distraction.
We serve clients throughout Taiwan and occasionally accept projects from overseas collectors who appreciate our particular approach. Most work comes through personal recommendation, which we consider the highest form of trust.
