By accessing our website or engaging our watch repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Quietwork. You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Quietwork provides professional watch repair, service, and restoration services, including but not limited to:
- Movement cleaning without disassembly
- Full watchmaker service
- Quiet restoration services
- Consultation and assessment services
Service availability, scope, and pricing are subject to assessment of each timepiece. We reserve the right to refuse service if we determine that a watch requires specialized expertise or equipment beyond our capabilities.
Before beginning work, we conduct a thorough assessment of your watch. You will receive a detailed explanation of our findings and a transparent service proposal including estimated costs and timeline. Work does not begin until you approve the proposal.
By approving our service proposal, you authorize Quietwork to perform the agreed-upon work. If additional issues are discovered during service that require attention, we will contact you for authorization before proceeding.
Service timelines provided are estimates based on standard conditions. Actual completion time may vary due to parts availability, complexity of issues discovered, or other factors beyond our control. We will notify you promptly if significant delays occur.
All prices are quoted in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and include labor and standard replacement parts. Unusual or expensive parts will be quoted separately and require your approval before ordering.
Payment is due upon completion of service before the watch is returned to you. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit cards. Payment methods will be confirmed when you approve the service proposal.
If additional work becomes necessary beyond the original proposal, we will contact you with a revised estimate before proceeding. You have the right to decline additional work, though this may affect the watch's functionality.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about your watch's history and condition
- Disclosing any previous service or modifications
- Ensuring the watch is insured during transit if shipping to us
- Picking up your watch within 90 days of completion notification
- Following care instructions provided after service
We commit to:
- Performing all work according to professional watchmaking standards
- Using specification-matched replacement parts from reputable suppliers
- Maintaining secure storage and comprehensive insurance for watches in our care
- Communicating openly about findings, options, and any challenges encountered
- Preserving original components when replaced, returning them with the watch
- Providing complete service documentation
We warrant that services performed will be free from defects in workmanship for twelve months from the date of service completion. This warranty covers the specific work performed and does not extend to pre-existing conditions or components not serviced.
Replacement parts are warranted according to the manufacturer's specifications, typically twelve months from installation. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from misuse.
Our warranty does not cover:
- Damage from accidents, water ingress, or improper use
- Service performed by other watchmakers after our service
- Normal wear and tear including crystal scratches or case finish wear
- Battery-powered watches (battery replacement only)
- Watches subjected to conditions beyond normal use
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quietwork's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.
We are not liable for:
- Sentimental or subjective value of watches
- Consequential, indirect, or incidental damages
- Loss of use or anticipated profits
- Delays caused by parts availability or unforeseen complications
- Pre-existing conditions discovered during service
We maintain comprehensive insurance for watches in our care. In the event of loss or damage while in our possession due to our negligence, compensation will be based on documented value provided by you at the time of service authorization, up to the limits of our insurance policy.
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Quietwork and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
If you fail to claim your watch within 90 days of completion notification, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you. After 180 days, the watch may be considered abandoned and we reserve the right to dispose of it or apply its value toward storage fees and unpaid service costs, in accordance with Taiwan law.
If you have concerns about our service, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving issues through direct communication and will make reasonable efforts to address your concerns.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Yilan County, Taiwan.
Before pursuing legal action, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation. Mediation costs shall be shared equally between parties.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. Material changes will be communicated to active clients via email when practicable.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any written service proposals, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quietwork regarding the use of our services and supersede any prior agreements.
